The former email address ijil.pascasarjana@iain-jember.ac.id was replaced by ijil.pascasarjana@uinkhas.ac.id.

  9. Template and Author Guidelines Update (2025)
    Date of Announcement: Vol. 8, No. 2 (2025)
    Starting with Vol. 8, No. 2 (2025), the Indonesian Journal of Islamic Law (IJIL) implemented an updated manuscript template and revised submission guidelines. The revisions were introduced to improve manuscript consistency, clarity, formatting, and alignment with current scholarly publishing practices.

  10. Accreditation by Science and Technology Index (SINTA), Rank 3
    Date of Announcement: Volume 5 No. 2 (2022) to Volume 10 No. 1 (2027)
    Based on the Minutes of the Determination of Journal Accreditation Results for Period I of 2025, the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology issued Decree Number 10/C/C3/DT.05.00/2025, dated March 21, 2025, concerning the Accreditation Ranking of Scientific Journals for Period I of 2025. Under this decree, the Indonesian Journal of Islamic Law (IJIL) was awarded SINTA Rank 3, effective from Vol. 5, No. 2 (2022) to Vol. 10, No. 1 (2027).

  11. Publisher and Institutional Nomenclature Clarification
    Date of Announcement: Ongoing
    The Indonesian Journal of Islamic Law (IJIL) is officially published by the Postgraduate Programme of Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Kiai Haji Achmad Siddiq Jember, Indonesia. References in earlier metadata records to “Institut Agama Islam Negeri (IAIN) Jember” reflect the former institutional nomenclature prior to the university’s transformation into Universitas Islam Negeri Kiai Haji Achmad Siddiq Jember under Presidential Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia Number 44 of 2021. Accordingly, both “IAIN Jember” and “UIN Kiai Haji Achmad Siddiq Jember” refer to the same legal and institutional entity, which currently operates under the official name Universitas Islam Negeri Kiai Haji Achmad Siddiq Jember (UIN KHAS Jember).     On May 26, 2026, the Indonesian Journal of Islamic Law (IJIL) was accepted for inclusion in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ). The inclusion reflects the journal's compliance with DOAJ's requirements concerning open access, editorial transparency, and scholarly publishing practices.
  13. Changes in the Editorial Board (2026)
    Effective Date: July 2026
    Following the passing of Professor Ishaq Mardiyyah, who served as a section editor of the Indonesian Journal of Islamic Law (IJIL), the Editorial Board expresses its sincere appreciation for his scholarly contributions and dedicated service to the journal. To ensure continuity of the editorial process, Dr. Hariz Maiza Putra, a researcher at the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), Indonesia, was appointed as Section Editor, effective July 2026.
  14. Implementation of Article Declarations (2026)
    Effective from Vol. 9 No. 2 (2026)
    Following the issuance of Decree of the Director General of Science and Technology No. 374/DST/D.D1/HM.01.01/2026 on the Technical Guidelines for Scientific Journal Accreditation (Keputusan Direktur Jenderal Sains dan Teknologi Nomor 374/DST/D.D1/HM.01.01/2026 tentang Petunjuk Teknis Akreditasi Jurnal Ilmiah), the Indonesian Journal of Islamic Law (IJIL) strengthened its publication transparency and editorial standards by implementing a dedicated Declarations section, effective from Vol. 9 No. 2 (2026). The section includes an Author Contribution Statement, Funding Statement, AI Use Statement, Competing Interests Statement, and an Ethical Approval Statement, where applicable. This editorial update is intended to ensure greater transparency regarding authorship contributions, research funding, the responsible use of generative artificial intelligence, potential competing interests, and compliance with research ethics.
